Mosser Construction was recently honored as an AGC of Ohio 2023 Build Ohio Award winner in the Specialty category for its work on the Kelleys Island Glacial Grooves Erosion Protection Project.
Along with improvements to the site’s stormwater management, the project featured replacing chain link fence with a custom-fit architectural railing system and removing a dilapidated steel walk bridge with a modern, architectural pedestrian bridge. Mosser also integrated site enhancements within the rugged terrain to build aesthetically appealing assets including the custom paver pattern design across the new plaza, which was selected to reflect the linear striations and colors of the grooves.
Part of Mosser’s award-winning team on the Kelleys Island Glacial Grooves Erosion Protection Project included Sitework/Highway Division Manager Chris Carry, Project Manager Mike Ahten, Project Engineer/ Superintendent Madi Slingwine and Project Engineers/ Superintendents Vinny Stayancho and E.J. Harmon.
The honor was awarded to the Fremont-based company at November’s 2023 Build Ohio Celebration in Columbus. Mosser, which is celebrating its 75th year, specializes in public, commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, water treatment plants and highway/ bridge construction.
