Frantz Ward LLP began 2026 with the announcement of five of its attorneys being promoted to Partner: Mia L. Garcia, Andrew M. Hanna, Meghan C. Lewallen, Bradley Ouambo and Jonathan M. Scandling. Each have been recognized on the Ohio Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers’ lists, recognizing prowess in their areas of practice.
Garcia represents operators in the medical and adult-use cannabis markets and the hemp industry. Hanna, who is currently participating in OCA’s Future Leaders Forum (see page 12), represents construction owners, managers, contractors, design professionals, surety companies and other construction professionals. Lewallen, with more than 10 years of litigation experience, represents companies with general business litigation, transportation law, real estate brokerage defense and employment litigation claims. Ouambo focuses on guidance and representation in the areas of construction law and related litigation. Scandling represents management in areas of labor and employment law, handling issues such as employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment and wage and hour disputes.

CONSTRUCTION ANGELS SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED
Construction Angels is currently accepting scholarship nominations through July 23.
Construction Angels, which OCA serves as a state chapter, provides financial assistance and grief counseling to children, 19 years and younger, and spouses of construction workers killed in work-related accidents.
Launched in 2018, the Construction Angels Scholarship Program offers two types of construction scholarship opportunities: 1) For children having lost a parent due to a construction-related fatality; and 2) Students seeking to further their education in the construction industry.
